Denver ABCD Training

My good friend and colleague George Montoya (Western Rep for the Communities First Association) helped set up a wonderful Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) training by Imagine NW! in Denver, CO.

I believe we had 26 people from the greater Denver metro area attend. They were great!

Co-sponsoring this event was Volunteers in Action, Strengthening Neighborhoods, Community Builders and Confluence Ministries. A big thanks to Donn Hansum, Executive Director of Volunteers in Action for the seriously...major hustle to get the word out about this training opportunity. The networking he did was awesome. The wealth and diversity of who showed up testified to his hard collaborative work.

The funny thing, for me, that happened in and around this event was...my original trainer/mentor in ABCD - Mike Green who lives in Denver, was conducting his own training in ABCD, but guess where? Yep you're right, Seattle. I think our planes crossed the day before. I had hoped to at least introduce this most wonderful man and friend to the group at the training. But that's just the way things are. Funny.
